I offer my salutations to you, O Devi, Who holds the sacred veena (divine lute) and the book of knowledge in her graceful hands, Who is adorned with a serene smile and whose pure white swan carries her — Symbolizing purity, discernment, and the ability to separate truth from falsehood. O Saraswati, giver of wisdom, I seek your blessings upon me.

In the beginning, you are called Bhāratī, the one who inspires eloquence and divine speech. Secondly, you are known as Saraswati, the flowing river of knowledge and wisdom. Thirdly, you are worshipped as Sharada Devi, the goddess who grants learning and sharp intellect. Fourth, you are called Hansavāhinī, the one who rides the majestic white swan, symbolizing the power of discrimination between the eternal and the transient.

Seventh, you are called Kaumārī, ever-youthful, representing fresh, blossoming wisdom. Eighth, you are worshipped as Brahmachāriṇī, the embodiment of penance, discipline, and focus on the pursuit of higher knowledge.

Ninth, you are the granter of sharp intellect and deep understanding — the divine giver of buddhi (wisdom). Tenth, you are revered as Varadāyinī, the one who fulfills the wishes of your devotees. Eleventh, you are known as Kṣudraghaṇṭā, the gentle ringing bell, whose sound awakens the mind and purifies the surroundings. Twelfth, you are called Bhuvaneshwarī, the sovereign queen of all worlds, encompassing all creation in your graceful embrace.

नवम रूप में आप बुद्धि और प्रखर विवेक की दात्री हैं। दशम, आप वरदायिनी कहलाती हैं — जो अपने भक्तों की मनोकामना पूर्ण करती हैं। एकादश, आप क्षुद्रघण्टा कहलाती हैं — जो मधुर घंटी की ध्वनि स्वरूपा हैं, जो मन को जागृत करती हैं और वातावरण को शुद्ध करती हैं। द्वादश, आप भुवनेश्वरी कहलाती हैं — जो समस्त जगत की अधीश्वरी, संपूर्ण सृष्टि को अपनी गोद में समेटे हुए हैं।
