वीताखिलविषयेच्छं जातानन्दाश्र पुलकमत्यच्छम् ।
सीतापतिदूताद्यं वातात्मजमद्य भावये हृद्यम् ॥ १॥
Today, with devotion and reverence, I meditate upon Hanuman, the dearest son of the Wind God (Vātātmaja), whose presence delights the heart. He is free from all worldly desires, absorbed in supreme bliss, with tears of joy and divine ecstasy flowing down his cheeks. He was the foremost messenger of Lord Rāma, the consort of Sītā, and the very embodiment of love, surrender, and service.
जो सम्पूर्ण विषयवासना (इन्द्रिय इच्छाओं) से रहित हैं, जिनकी आँखों में परम आनंद के आँसू छलकते हैं, जिनके रोम-रोम पुलकित हो उठते हैं — मैं आज उन वात्सल्यपूर्ण वात्सल्य के पुत्र, माता अंजना के सुपुत्र, पवनसुत श्री हनुमान जी को अपने हृदय में भावपूर्वक स्मरण करता हूँ, जो सीता माता के दूत और भगवान राम के अनन्य भक्त हैं।
तरुणारुणमुखकमलं करुणारसपूरपूरितापाङ्गम् ।
सञ्जीवनमाशासे मञ्जुलमहिमानमञ्जनाभाग्यम् ॥ २॥
I hope for the life-giving darshan of Hanuman, whose youthful lotus-like face glows like the rising sun, whose glances overflow with the nectar of compassion. His divine magnificence is splendid beyond words, and he is the blessed son of Anjanā, whose good fortune is unmatched in all the worlds. May his beautiful glory inspire and uplift my spirit.
जिनका मुख सुंदर, लालवर्णी कमल के समान आभायुक्त है, जिनकी दृष्टि करुणा और प्रेम के अमृत से भरी हुई है — मैं उन हनुमान जी की आराधना करता हूँ, जिनकी महिमा अनुपम है, जो सबको जीवन देने वाले (सञ्जीवनी लाने वाले) हैं, और जिनका जन्म माता अंजना का परम पुण्य और सौभाग्य है।
शम्बरवैरिशरातिगमम्बुजदलविपुललोचनोदारम् ।
कम्बुगलमनिलदिष्टं बिम्बज्वलितोष्ठमेकमवलम्बे ॥ ३॥
I seek refuge in Hanuman, who surpasses even the gods in valor and radiance. His broad lotus-petal eyes are full of kindness and courage. His conch-shaped neck and wind-blessed form shine with divine grace. His lips, red like the bimba fruit, glow with an aura of strength and beauty. He is the warrior who destroyed demons and protected dharma.
जो शम्बरा जैसे असुरों के शत्रु हैं, जिनकी विशाल नेत्र-पुतलियाँ कमलदल जैसी विशाल और सुंदर हैं, जिनका गला शंख (कम्बु) के समान सुडौल है, जिनका वचन पवनदेव द्वारा निर्देशित है, और जिनके ओष्ठ (होंठ) बिम्बफल की तरह लाल-लाल दमकते हैं — मैं उन्हीं एकमात्र हनुमान जी को शरण ग्रहण करता हूँ।
दूरीकृतसीतार्तिः प्रकटीकृतरामवैभवस्फूर्तिः ।
दारितदशमुखकीर्तिः पुरतो मम भातु हनुमतो मूर्तिः ॥ ४॥
May the glorious form of Hanuman appear before me—he who removed the sorrows of Sītā, revealed the supreme glory of Lord Rāma, and shattered the pride and fame of the ten-headed Rāvaṇa. In his divine image, I find the protector of dharma, the epitome of strength, humility, and unwavering devotion.
जिन्होंने माता सीता के दुःख को दूर किया, जिन्होंने रामजी के ऐश्वर्य और महिमा को प्रकट किया, जिन्होंने रावण की कीर्ति को नष्ट कर डाला — वही हनुमान जी मेरे सम्मुख सजीव रूप में प्रकाशित हों, उनकी दिव्य प्रतिमा मेरे हृदय में सदैव विराजमान हो।
वानरनिकराध्यक्षं दानवकुलकुमुदरविकरसदृक्षम् ।
दीनजनावनदीक्षं पवनतपः पाकपुञ्जमद्राक्षम् ॥ ५॥
I have seen the shining jewel of penance, Hanuman—chief among the vānaras, who like the bright sun dries up the lotus-like pride of the demon clans. He is the compassionate protector of the humble and distressed, the result of divine austerities of the Wind God, a blazing sun of spiritual power and strength.
जो वानर सेना के अधिपति हैं, जो सूर्य के समान दानवों के कुल के अहंकार को कम करने वाले हैं, जो दीनों (दुःखियों) की रक्षा के लिए संकल्पित हैं, और जो पवनदेव के तप के फलस्वरूप उत्पन्न हुए हैं — मैं उन हनुमान जी को अपनी आँखों से देखने का सौभाग्य चाहता हूँ।
एतत्पवनसुतस्य स्तोत्रं
यः पठति पञ्चरत्नाख्यम् ।
चिरमिह निखिलान् भोगान् भुङ्क्त्वा
श्रीरामभक्तिभाग्भवति ॥ ६॥
Whoever recites this five-gemmed hymn (Pañcaratna) dedicated to the son of the Wind God (Hanuman), will enjoy all worldly pleasures for a long time in this life and, ultimately, become a recipient of the highest blessing—eternal devotion to Lord Rāma.
जो भी इस पवनसुत हनुमान के पञ्चरत्न स्तोत्र का पाठ करता है, वह इस संसार में दीर्घकाल तक सभी सुखों और भोगों का आनंद लेता है और अंततः श्रीरामजी की भक्ति का अधिकारी बनता है।
इति श्रीमच्छङ्करभगवतः कृतौ हनुमत्पञ्चरत्नं सम्पूर्णम् ॥
Thus ends the Hanumat Pañcaratnam composed by the revered Bhagavatpāda Adi Shankaracharya.
इस प्रकार श्रीमद् शंकराचार्य द्वारा रचित हनुमत् पञ्चरत्नम् स्तोत्र पूर्ण हुआ।
