आर्तानां दुःखशमने दीक्षितं प्रभुमव्ययम् ।
अशेषजगदाधारं लक्ष्मीनारायणं भजे ॥ १॥

I bow to Lakshmi Narayana, the eternal and indestructible Lord, who has pledged Himself to remove the sorrows of the distressed. He is the unfailing support and foundation of the entire cosmos, holding up the countless worlds with His divine presence. To Him, I offer my heart’s devotion.

मैं लक्ष्मी-नारायण की वंदना करता हूँ, जो संसार के दुखी और पीड़ितों के दुखों को हरने के लिए स्वयं को समर्पित कर चुके हैं। वे अविनाशी हैं, समस्त जगत के आधार हैं, जो इस सृष्टि को अपनी दिव्य शक्ति से संभाले हुए हैं। मैं अपनी भक्ति और प्रेम उन्हें अर्पित करता हूँ।

अपारकरुणाम्भोधिं आपद्बान्धवमच्युतम् ।
अशेषदुःखशान्त्यर्थं लक्ष्मीनारायणं भजे ॥ २॥

I worship Lakshmi Narayana, the boundless ocean of compassion, the unfailing friend and helper of those in distress. He is Achyuta, the unchanging one, whose mercy brings peace to every suffering soul. His compassion knows no end, flowing like a divine river across the worlds.

मैं लक्ष्मी-नारायण की शरण लेता हूँ, जो अनंत करुणा के सागर हैं, संकट में साथ देने वाले सच्चे मित्र हैं। वे अच्युत हैं — जो कभी परिवर्तित नहीं होते, जो अपने करुणामय स्पर्श से समस्त दुखों का शमन कर देते हैं।

भक्तानां वत्सलं भक्तिगम्यं सर्वगुणाकरम् ।
अशेषदुःखशान्त्यर्थं लक्ष्मीनारायणं भजे ॥ ३॥

I bow to Lakshmi Narayana, who is tenderly affectionate to His devotees, who is approachable only through pure-hearted devotion. He is the embodiment and source of all divine virtues — patience, truth, compassion, justice — and offers peace to all who seek refuge in Him.

मैं लक्ष्मी-नारायण की आराधना करता हूँ, जो अपने भक्तों के प्रति अत्यंत स्नेही हैं, जो केवल भक्ति से ही प्राप्त होते हैं। वे समस्त दिव्य गुणों का भंडार हैं — धैर्य, सत्य, करुणा, धर्म — जो केवल स्मरण मात्र से अपनी शरण में आए लोगों के दुखों का नाश करते हैं।

सुहृदं सर्वभूतानां सर्वलक्षणसंयुतम् ।
अशेषदुःखशान्त्यर्थं लक्ष्मीनारायणं भजे ॥ ४॥

I worship Lakshmi Narayana, the true friend of all living beings — whether human, animal, or divine — who is adorned with all auspicious qualities. His grace touches all, transcending caste, creed, or species, offering peace and shelter to all who remember Him.

मैं लक्ष्मी-नारायण को नमन करता हूँ, जो समस्त जीवों के सच्चे मित्र हैं, चाहे वे मनुष्य हों, पशु हों या देवता। वे सभी शुभ गुणों से युक्त हैं और सबको अपनी शरण में लेकर शांति प्रदान करते हैं।

चिदचित्सर्वजन्तूनां आधारं वरदं परम् ।
अशेषदुःखशान्त्यर्थं लक्ष्मीनारायणं भजे ॥ ५॥

I bow before Lakshmi Narayana, the supreme foundation of both the sentient and insentient — the conscious and unconscious beings. He is the bestower of boons and the supreme Lord, the ultimate resting place of all, upholding the laws of dharma and cosmic order.

मैं उन लक्ष्मी-नारायण की स्तुति करता हूँ, जो चेतन-अचेतन, जड़-चेतन सभी जीवों के आधार हैं। वे वरदाता, परमेश्वर और समस्त सृष्टि के मूल हैं, जो सदा अपनी कृपा से संतुष्टि और सुख प्रदान करते हैं।

शङ्खचक्रधरं देवं लोकनाथं दयानिधिम् ।
अशेषदुःखशान्त्यर्थं लक्ष्मीनारायणं भजे ॥ ६॥

I worship Lakshmi Narayana, the divine Lord holding the conch and discus, symbols of protection and righteousness. He is the Lord of all worlds, the treasure-house of mercy, whose divine weapons defend the virtuous and destroy evil, ensuring peace and harmony.

मैं उन दिव्य लक्ष्मी-नारायण को प्रणाम करता हूँ, जिनके हाथों में शंख और चक्र हैं — जो धर्म की रक्षा और अधर्म के विनाश के प्रतीक हैं। वे समस्त लोकों के स्वामी और करुणा की खान हैं।

पीताम्बरधरं विष्णुं विलसत्सूत्रशोभितम् ।
अशेषदुःखशान्त्यर्थं लक्ष्मीनारायणं भजे ॥ ७॥

I bow to Vishnu, draped in radiant yellow garments, adorned with the shining sacred thread. His divine form radiates auspiciousness, drawing the heart of every devotee toward Him. His graceful presence removes every sorrow and uplifts the soul.

मैं विष्णु भगवान की पूजा करता हूँ, जो पीताम्बर (पीले वस्त्र) धारण किए हुए हैं और जिनका ब्रह्मसूत्र तेज से चमक रहा है। उनका दिव्य रूप अपार सौंदर्य और शुभता से भरा है, जो सभी दुखों को दूर करता है।

हस्तेन दक्षिणेन यजं अभयप्रदमक्षरम् ।
अशेषदुःखशान्त्यर्थं लक्ष्मीनारायणं भजे ॥ ८॥

I worship Lakshmi Narayana, who with His right hand offers blessings and fearlessness. He is the eternal, imperishable one, granting the ultimate assurance to His devotees — “Do not fear, for I am here.” His touch frees all from suffering and anxiety.

मैं उन लक्ष्मी-नारायण की वंदना करता हूँ, जो अपने दाहिने हाथ से आशीर्वाद देते हुए अभय (निर्भयता) प्रदान करते हैं। वे अक्षर (अविनाशी) परमात्मा हैं, जो अपने भक्तों को भय और संकट से मुक्त करते हैं।

यः पठेत् प्रातरुत्थाय लक्ष्मीनारायणाष्टकम् ।
विमुक्तस्सर्वपापेभ्यः विष्णुलोकं स गच्छति ॥

Whoever rises early in the morning and chants this Lakshmi Narayana Ashtakam becomes freed from all sins and impurities. Such a soul, purified by devotion, ultimately reaches Vishnu’s divine abode — the realm of eternal peace, bliss, and union with the Lord.

जो मनुष्य प्रतिदिन प्रातःकाल उठकर इस लक्ष्मी-नारायण अष्टक का पाठ करता है, वह समस्त पापों से मुक्त होकर अंत में विष्णु के दिव्य लोक को प्राप्त करता है — जहाँ अनंत शांति, आनंद और परमात्मा का संग प्राप्त होता है।

इति श्रीलक्ष्मीनारायणाष्टकं सम्पूर्णम् ।
