प्रातः स्मरामि ललितावदनारविन्दं बिम्बाधरं पृथुलमौक्तिकशोभिनासम्  ।
आकर्णदीर्घनयनं मणिकुण्डलाढ्यं मन्दस्मितं मृगमदोज्ज्वलभालदेशम्  ॥ १॥

In the morning, I remember the radiant lotus face of the Divine Mother Lalita — her lips like red bimba fruit, her nose adorned with lustrous pearls, her long eyes extending gracefully, her ears glowing with gem-studded earrings, her gentle, tender smile, and her forehead glowing with the brightness of fragrant deer musk. O Mother, just picturing Your beauty fills my heart with joy and love.

प्रातःकाल मैं देवी ललिता के कमल-से सुंदर मुख का स्मरण करता हूँ — जिनके होंठ बिम्ब फल की तरह लाल, जिनकी नासिका मोतियों की आभा से चमकती है, जिनकी बड़ी-बड़ी आँखें कानों तक फैली हैं, जिनके कानों में रत्नजड़ित कुंडल झिलमिलाते हैं, जिनकी मंद मुस्कान अत्यंत मोहक है, और जिनका ललाट मृगमद (कस्तूरी) की आभा से दमकता है। हे माँ, आपकी छवि मेरे हृदय को आनन्द और प्रेम से भर देती है।

प्रातर्भजामि ललिताभुजकल्पवल्लीं रत्नाङ्गुळीयलसदङ्गुलिपल्लवाढ्याम्  ।
माणिक्यहेमवलयाङ्गदशोभमानां पुण्ड्रेक्षुचापकुसुमेषुसृणीःदधानाम्  ॥ २॥

In the morning, I lovingly worship the tender, vine-like arms of Mother Lalita — adorned with shining gem rings on her soft fingers, her wrists and arms decorated with splendid ruby and gold bangles and armlets, and holding in her delicate hands the sugarcane bow and flower-tipped arrows. O Mother, You are the embodiment of beauty and charm, and I surrender to You with devotion.

प्रातःकाल मैं सुमनपूर्वक पूजा करता हूँ माँ ललिता की भुजाओं की, जो कल्पवृक्ष की लताओं के समान कोमल हैं — जिनकी अंगुलियाँ रत्नजड़ित अंगूठियों से सजी हैं, जिनकी कलाइयों और भुजाओं पर माणिक और सोने के कंगन तथा बाजूबंद शोभायमान हैं, और जिनके कोमल हाथों में पुष्प-बाणों से सुसज्जित शर्करधनुष (गन्ने का धनुष) सुशोभित है। हे माँ, आप साक्षात सौंदर्य और माधुर्य की मूर्ति हैं, मैं आपको नमस्कार करता हूँ।

प्रातर्नमामि ललिताचरणारविन्दं भक्तेष्टदाननिरतं भवसिन्धुपोतम्  ।
पद्मासनादिसुरनायकपूजनीयं पद्माङ्कुशध्वजसुदर्शनलाञ्छनाढ्यम्  ॥ ३॥

In the morning, I bow in deep reverence at the lotus feet of Mother Lalita — those feet that are ever engaged in granting the wishes of her devotees, that serve as the divine boat carrying us safely across the vast ocean of worldly suffering, that are worshipped even by the great gods like Brahma seated on the lotus. O Mother, Your feet, marked with the lotus, goad, flag, and Sudarshana symbols, are my ultimate refuge.

प्रातःकाल मैं माँ ललिता के चरण कमलों में प्रणाम करता हूँ — वे चरण जो सदा भक्तों की इच्छाएँ पूर्ण करने में रत रहते हैं, जो संसार रूपी भवसागर को पार कराने वाली नौका हैं, और जो ब्रह्मा आदि देवताओं द्वारा पूज्य हैं। हे माँ, आपके चरणों पर अंकित कमल, अंकुश, ध्वज और सुदर्शन चक्र जैसे चिन्ह मेरे लिए परम शरण हैं।

प्रातः स्तुवे परशिवां ललितां भवानीं त्रय्यन्तवेद्यविभवां करुणानवद्याम्  ।
विश्वस्य सृष्टिविलयस्थितिहेतुभूतां विश्वेश्वरीं निगमवाङ्-मनसातिदूराम्  ॥ ४॥

In the morning, I praise the Supreme Divine Mother Lalita — the very embodiment of Para Shiva, the all-powerful Bhavani, whose infinite splendor is revealed in the Vedas, whose flawless compassion flows endlessly. She is the cause behind creation, preservation, and destruction, the sovereign Queen of the Universe, far beyond the reach of words and the grasp of the mind. O Mother, I glorify You with deep humility and love.

प्रातःकाल मैं परम शिवस्वरूपा, ललिता भवानी की स्तुति करता हूँ — जिनकी महिमा त्रैवेद्य (तीनों वेदों) द्वारा जानी जाती है, जो निर्मल करुणा की साकार मूर्ति हैं, जो सृष्टि, पालन और संहार की मूल कारण हैं, जो समस्त विश्व की अधीश्वरी हैं, और जो वेद, वाणी तथा मन की पहुँच से परे हैं। हे माँ, मैं आपको नम्रतापूर्वक प्रणाम करता हूँ।

प्रातर्वदामि ललिते तव पुण्यनाम कामेश्वरीति कमलेति महेश्वरीति  ।
श्रीशाम्भवीति जगतां जननी परेति वाग्देवतेति वचसा त्रिपुरेश्वरीति  ॥ ५॥

In the morning, I joyfully chant Your sacred names, O Lalita — Kameshwari, the Goddess of Love; Kamala, the Lotus-Goddess; Maheshwari, the Great Queen; Shri Shambhavi, the auspicious consort of Shiva; Jagat Janani, Mother of the Universe; Para, the Supreme One; Vagdevata, the Goddess of Speech; Tripureshwari, the Ruler of the Three Cities. O Mother, Your names are a divine nectar for my heart.

प्रातःकाल मैं आपके पवित्र नामों का उच्चारण करता हूँ, हे ललिता — कामेश्वरी (कामदेव की अधीश्वरी), कमला (कमल सदृश), महेश्वरी (महादेवी), श्रीशाम्भवी (शिव की शक्तिरूपा), जगज्जननी (संसार की माता), परा (परम), वाग्देवता (वाणी की देवी), त्रिपुरेश्वरी (तीनों पुरियों की अधीश्वरी)। हे माँ, आपके नाम मेरे हृदय के लिए अमृत हैं।

यः श्लोकपञ्चकमिदं ललिताम्बिकायाः सौभाग्यदं सुललितं पठति प्रभाते  ।
तस्मै ददाति ललिता झटिति प्रसन्ना विद्यां श्रियं विमलसौख्यमनन्तकीर्तिम्  ॥ ६॥

Anyone who recites these five beautiful verses of praise to Lalitāmbikā every morning — to that devotee, the kind and pleased Mother Lalita quickly bestows knowledge, wealth, pure happiness, and unending fame. O Mother, how merciful You are! With a heart full of devotion, I take refuge in Your boundless grace.

जो कोई भी इस सुललित ललिताम्बिका पंचक श्लोक को प्रतिदिन प्रातःकाल पढ़ता है, उस भक्त को माँ ललिता तुरंत प्रसन्न होकर ज्ञान, धन, निर्मल सुख और अनंत कीर्ति प्रदान करती हैं। हे माँ, आपकी कृपा असीम है, मैं पूर्ण श्रद्धा से आपकी शरण लेता हूँ।

॥  इति श्रीमच्छङ्करभगवतः कृतौ ललिता पञ्चकं सम्पूर्णम् ॥

Thus ends the “Lalita Panchakam,” the five hymns composed by the great Sri Shankara Bhagavatpada in praise of Lalita Devi.
