महागौरी माता मंत्र, आरती, कवच स्तोत्र - Mahagauri Devi Mantra, Aarti, Kavach, Stotra Sanskrit Lyrics

According to Hindu mythology, Goddess Shailputri, at the age of sixteen, was blessed with exceptional beauty and a radiant fair complexion. Because of her pure white glow, she came to be known as Goddess Mahagauri. Her name itself means “extremely fair,” symbolizing purity and serenity.
Goddess Mahagauri's mount is a bull, which is why she is also called Vrisharudha (वृषारूढ़ा). She has four hands: one right hand holds a Trishul (trident), while the other right hand is in Abhaya Mudra (gesture of protection). In her left hands, she carries a Damaru (small drum) and shows Varada Mudra (gesture of blessing). She wears pure white clothes, radiating calmness and purity.
The name Mahagauri itself means “greatly fair.” She is compared with the white conch shell, the shining moon, and the white Kunda flower (कुंद) for her dazzling radiance. She always dresses in white garments, earning her the name Shwetambardhara (श्वेताम्बरधरा), meaning “the one draped in white.” Her divine form represents inner peace, purity, and the cleansing of negative energies.
Worshipping Goddess Mahagauri is believed to cleanse past sins, remove sorrows, and wash away impurities of the mind and soul. She blesses her devotees with calmness, compassion, marital harmony, and spiritual upliftment. For unmarried women, her blessings are said to help in finding a suitable life partner, while for married women, she ensures a peaceful and prosperous family life. She also symbolizes forgiveness and grants liberation from the cycle of suffering.
In Vedic astrology, Goddess Mahagauri governs the planet Rahu. Worshipping her is believed to reduce the malefic effects of Rahu and transform its energy toward positivity, clarity, and spiritual growth.
