चन्द्रघण्टा माता मंत्र, आरती, कवच स्तोत्र - Chandraghanta Devi Mantra, Aarti, Kavach, Stotra Sanskrit Lyrics

Goddess Chandraghanta is the married form of Goddess Parvati. After her union with Lord Shiva, Goddess Mahagauri adorned her forehead with a half-moon (Chandra). The crescent resembled a bell (Ghanta), which gave her the name Chandraghanta. She represents the balance of grace and valor, embodying both beauty and fierce protection.
Goddess Chandraghanta is shown riding a tigress, symbolizing bravery and fearlessness. She wears the semi-circular moon on her forehead, which resembles a bell and signifies her name. She is depicted with ten hands: four left hands carry a Trishul (trident), Gada (mace), Sword, and Kamandal (water pot), while the fifth left hand shows Varada Mudra (boon-giving gesture). Four right hands hold a lotus flower, arrow, bow, and rosary (Japa Mala), while the fifth right hand is raised in Abhaya Mudra (gesture of protection).
Worshipping Goddess Chandraghanta is believed to bring a wide range of blessings: - Inner courage, strength, and fearlessness in facing life’s challenges. - Protection from negative energies, evil spirits, or obstacles in one’s path. - A state of peace of mind, mental calmness, and emotional balance. - Removal of past karma or sins, welfare and prosperity in life. - Relief from anxiety, distress, and spiritual darkness. Her moon-bell (Ghanta) is said to drive away unseen spirits and create a protective aura around devoted hearts.
In Vedic astrology, Goddess Chandraghanta governs the planet Shukra (Venus). She blesses devotees with beauty, grace, harmony, and prosperity, while also balancing material and spiritual desires. Worshipping her is believed to reduce malefic effects of Venus and enhance qualities of love, creativity, and abundance.
